Rude Six are a Youthful and vibrant band on a mission to revamp ska and reggae music, delivering your favoured familiar sounds with a fresh touch. Expect covers of old school tunes from The Specials and The Selecter as well as Toots and The Maytals and Max Romeo that will become your new favourites, in addition to refreshing original music to have you skanking away.

Based mostly in Nuneaton town just next to the original city of two-tone, Coventry, RudeSix are a six-piece band who play ska and reggae music in their own unique way. Originally formed as a continuation of a school ‘soul band’, they formerly played together as ‘The Press’; covering soul, blues and RnB hits. However after a few lineup changes over the years and as the members simultaneously grew more passionate to ska and reggae music they felt change was needed.>/span>

In the summer of 2018, RudeSix was born. The band revamped their sound and image and headed to the studio to record their debut EP ‘Trip Club’, described as “feisty female vocals dancing over edgy and infectious ska & reggae rhythms” by the highly acclaimed ‘Do The Dog’ ska fanzine, adding “Well worth a listen is RudeSix’s fab debut EP, titled ‘Trip Club’.”
RudeSix are constantly breaching out further to new areas so check for shows nearby or get in touch for booking! Original music can also be found on major platforms such as Spotify and iTunes so if you haven’t already, take a listen!
