The Regents

The Regents are the hottest & latest R’n’B band to hit the scene for a long time. The band is made up of a four piece, who are all friends and are hugely influenced by the original MOD spirit of 1964 and all share the same passion of music through their love of R’n’B & Blues.

The Regents formed at the end of 2016 as The Prince Regents and are now looking to blow 2018 out of the water. The band consists of Csaba ‘Gonzalez’ Garbacz (Bass & Backing Vocal), Sea Jay (Lead Vocals & Harmonica), Sam Over (Guitar & Backing Vocal) & Matt Kirkham (Drums). They are based in Essex with an affiliation to the University City of Cambridge Their debut gig in early 2017 at The Alley club Cambridge went down a storm. And headlined the Mod May day weekend.

When watching the Regents live on the skamouth stage expect a high energy R’n’B performance that will get you down dancing along on the dance floor. As well as their own written material like Boogaloo, 60’s covers like “Stepping Stone” “Baby Please Don’t Go” & “Got Love If You Want It” to keep everyone entertained.

The Regents have been going from strength to strength since the summer of 2017 and are shortly going into the studio to record their own tracks for an album & with a buzz already going on the scene about this relatively new band, the fan base has continued to grow. The single Boogaloo won the Mod Radio ‘Unsigned and Original’ interactive show.
